About the day
This sailing begins at How Hill an area dedicated to the conservation of Broads habitats. Keep your eyes peeled for swallowtail butterflies and konik ponies. From How Hill, we sail down the River Ant where you'll get to see just how we get a wherry under Ludham Bridge. This is a beautiful area of the Broads, rich in birdlife. Keep your binoculars to hand! The journey continues along the River Bure past Horning's bustling riverside and Wroxham's waterside houses, to the wherry base at Barton House.
Please park in the Wherry Yacht Charter car park at Barton House, Hartwell Road, Wroxham. NR12 8TL. The minibus will pick passengers up at 8.25 and take to How Hill ready to sail at 9.00.
We operate on "wherry time", subject to wind and tide, and so our arrival and any interim stops may not always be as planned.
